Facility Project Specialist
Location: Spartanburg, SC - relocation available.
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Facility Project Specialist to support the planning and execution of a next-generation high-performance computing (HPC) data center. This role supports design, permitting, utilities, vendor coordination, and construction activities while tracking schedules, budgets, and documentation to ensure successful delivery.

Reporting to senior leadership within Property Development, this is a hands-on, onsite role with long-term growth potential into a Facilities or Project Management position.
Key Responsibilities

• Support design, permitting, and construction phases for a mission-critical data center
• Track project schedules, budgets, milestones, and reporting
• Coordinate vendors, contractors, utilities, and internal teams to support site execution
• Assist with renewable energy, fencing, access control, and site infrastructure projects
• Support site upgrades including paving, lighting, signage, and landscaping
• Conduct routine site walks, document issues, and help drive resolution
• Assist with RFPs, bid reviews, contractor onboarding, and vendor oversight
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and building requirements
• Contribute to project updates and stakeholder communications

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, or related field
• 5-7 years of experience in facilities, construction, or industrial real estate projects
• Working knowledge of MEP systems, utilities, and critical infrastructure
• Strong project coordination, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with project management and facilities documentation tools

Preferred

• Facilities Management (FM) certifications
• Experience with utilities (electric, gas, solar, telecom, water)
• Exposure to data center or mission-critical environments
